Formerly the Young Neighbours Trust, we’ve rebranded to better reflect our kaupapa and vision for the future.
Our new website will launch in October 2025.

Manawa Rahi is a charitable trust that supports rangatahi from remote and underserved communities across Aotearoa to access secondary and tertiary education—an opportunity that would otherwise not be available in their communities.

Identified by their communities as future leaders, these young people are connected with schools across Aotearoa where they can thrive. After completing secondary school, they are supported into tertiary pathways, often becoming the first in their families to do so.

We walk alongside them and their families with funding, mentoring, and wraparound support. Our kaupapa is grounded in the idea of whakatipu rangatira – growing leaders for some of Aotearoa's most challenged communities, with the hope that they will strengthen their communities for generations to come.
